Raped, Dismembered & SkinnEd Alive
On September 13th, 2022 Azerbaijan launched a coordinated offensive and invaded the sovereign territory of Armenia leaving over 207 military and civilian casualties in its wake. As fighting and tensions temporarily paused, the atrocities perpetrated by the Azerbaijani military became apparent. Graphic footage was released by Azerbaijani soldiers and circulated on social media revealing the horrific war crimes perpetrated by the Azerbaijani military against civilian and servicewomen. The graphic footage shows Azerbaijani soldiers with the mutilated bodies of Armenian servicewomen. The women were raped, had their limbs severed, their own severed fingers placed in the women's mouths and genitalia. The women had Azerbaijani writings carved into their chests and their eye sockets were jammed with rocks. Accounts of civilian women being captured, raped, tortured and skinned alive were also circulated within Azerbaijan's social media networks.
Azerbaijan has received $808 million dollars in military aid from the United States.
According to a fellow volunteer, Susanna Grigoryan had so much willpower and strength in her small body that it sometimes even amazed her. He was very willing and uncomplaining. "She could take the role of 10 people, she was so tenacious, she had the energy of a 20-year-old girl, she never got tired, but despite her rebellious and fiery character, she was extremely kind and compassionate. She forgave everyone and everything." On September 13, 2022 Susanna was killed. Footage of her raped, mutilated, and dismembered body was released in Russian encrypted messaging app "Telegram" by pro-Azerbaijani groups, depicting the heinous acts.
Alisa Melkonyan
On September 13th 2022, Alisa's death was confirmed but unfortunately her body has yet to be returned by Azerbaijan. Her brother was killed as well by Azerbaijani forces in the 44-Day war 2020. Her family is still awaiting for their loved ones remains to be returned safely...with very little hope.

On September 14th 2022, pictures of Irina Gasparyan's raped corpse were circulated on Russian encrypted messaging app Telegram by a pro-Azerbaijani group confirming that she was captured and killed by Azerbaijani soldiers.
Gayane Abgaryan
On September 15th 2022, Gayane was abducted and her whereabouts are still unknown. Her family is hoping for her safe return, but Azerbaijan has a historical record of mistreating or killing prisoners of war.
